The bedroom in the Belcourt collection features traditional styling and recalls the richness and civility of the 19th century. Artfully finished veneers are teamed with antique brass hardware and a modified empire style add an almost vintage appeal to contemporary living. The furniture in the Belcourt bedroom collection is dressed in brass drawer knobs with a subtle circular detail that complement the cherry veneer to create six unique pieces of furniture. Belcourt furniture is tailored to offer a traditional style of storage with graciously scaled and beautifully decorated drawers. The strong stoutness of its configuration is enhanced with selected hardwood solids and artfully crafted cherry veneers which were the favored materials for its time.
Since 1931, the Magnussen Home family has been committed to blending the fine qualities that they value in life into the fine furniture that they offer our customers. Integrity. Ingenuity. Style. Dedication. The people at Magnussen Home take pride in their company and in the furniture they produce.
Ingwer Magnussen founded the company in 1931, in the town of Kitchener, Ontario. A cabinetmaker by trade and a craftsman and businessman at heart, Ingwer took the bold step of starting his own company when he was unable to find work during the Great Depression. Serving Canadian upholstery manufacturers, he created beautiful, intricately carved show wood for sofa frames, earning a reputation that allowed his young business to grow into a good-sized company. Over the years, Magnussen Home has continued to grow, expanding to become a global enterprise. Yet, they have maintained the core principles of a family-run business - trust, honesty and respect - as the foundation of success of Magnussen Home.
